reboot legal: a lawyer’s workspace in German — from enquiry to case files and finance
A Berlin law firm needed one tool for the whole client journey: enquiry, fee offer, invoice, paid consultation, case with tasks, and finance. I built a Notion workspace in German: a 12-step process runs on buttons, and a paid invoice opens a case with tasks by itself.

Before
- Clients, offers, invoices, cases and tasks lived in different places, and the client journey was pieced together by hand.
- Clients had to be checked for compliance, and that status could not get lost.
- The firm’s finances — income, expenses and budget by category — were kept apart from the cases.
What was built
Client CRM
A five-status pipeline from incoming enquiry to contract or decline, with client check marks and a history of status changes.
Covered separately →Offer → invoice → consultation
The client accepts the terms and an invoice is created; the invoice is paid and a consultation case with tasks opens automatically.
Cases and tasks
A case with a number, type and task progress; after the consultation, a button creates a new offer for full representation.
Finance
Income and expenses, budget by category with percent spent, and a dashboard: this month, last month, the year.

Questions
Is Notion right for a law firm?
For a small practice, yes: clients, offers, cases, tasks and finance in one system in the firm’s language, without a separate legal CRM.
Can it be in another language?
Yes, this workspace is entirely in German — the interface is built in the team’s language.
